    Ricoh MPC6000 jamming

Hello, i have a problem with an MPC6000 thats jamming when copying A4 and A3 but works fine when copying A4R. The jam code am not sure but the machine says J012. It's jamming at locations A and B. I have checked this location many times and i cant find a thing. I have cleaned all the sensors in this location but the same thing happens. Strange enough it's not jamming when copying A4R. Can anyone help please.

This machine is based on a ship.

    Thanks much.

    Hi tibbs

so you have def cleaned the vertical and horizontal sensors as they do get bad. How many miles also? They say the feed rollers last a million but that is not the case and I change mine around 300 clicks.

If it is the feed rollers try feeding landscape from the A4 r tray.

    Hope led that helps.

    Tim.

I don't know how much this will help, but make sure the guides in the paper drawers are set to the right size. That's how the machine detects the paper size, and the machine times the paper travel based on that.
At least that is what I'd check first when one size of paper feeds correctly but others jam for no apparent reason on the right hand side of the machine.
      The timers are really strict.

I have checked the paper setings in the trays and they are fine. There is also a problem with the bypass, it does not grab the paper. I replaced it with a new one and the same thing. Its as if the gears in the machine is worn out. Am not sure am just assuming.

        Thanks

I have had this problem twice before.
i take it A4R is A4SEF (short edge feed only work with aussie paper sizes)
the bypass motor drives the gears that drive the rego unit (back of the drive section)replace the bypass motor and the drive gears my machines both had approx 2 million on both before this happend.
let me know how you go.
also replace the one way clutch gear on the rego drawer unit as well

X2 for that one way gear (at rear right hand end of transport drawer) provides drive to pre reg roller. I have had to replace a few of these lately on high mileage machines due to it causing PJ's and out of reg pages.

Can you guys give me a part number for theses gears. I found the guys that drives the bypass unit and the registration are worn out. So when the machine tries to copy from the bypass it does not grab the paper. And also when making A3 copies and double sided it jams.

              Thanks
