mpc 2800 Black Pump Unit failures

I have a question for you who have changed these out over time..
just had a call where new black toner put in by customer wouldnt
clear the toner needed message..
the old one was empty and i ended up finding the nozzle "spring loaded" near the
toner bottle opening was clogged wth toner...the hose was ok going to the pump and after
clearing out the opening i got it running..
does the toner go all at once? or does it slowly fail??
also is there a trick to removing the toner end sensor connector?
i didnt want to break it but it did not want to come off.

I never had problems with the nozzles, only clogged hoses and defective toner pumps. The toner end sensor is attached with two hooks. You have to be carefull when you remove it.

No nozzle failure from me. Normally I only change the pump and vaccum the hoses.

looks like its a pump failure as call just came back in...with regards to the sensor on the nozzle section i removed the 2 screws and couldnt get the wire
connector off..didnt want to force it...does the mpc2050 machine use the same pump>>my only spare machine i have sitting and really thought i wouldnt need a pump till i had machines with over 150k..

Yes, I only ever keep the black pump in my car, the hose can be cut down if required, but they can usually be cleaned out successfully

Only difference between the pumps is the angle of the spout of the black as opposed to the colour pumps. This is only apparent when you look at the pipes once installed. They are fully interchangeable though, as long as they dont already have toner in them of course!

i swap yellow and black pumps when we are out of stock. so client could at least get blk copies.
