If the customer has an always on PC or server (either Windows or Mac) then you can set up AirPrint to print from the iPad; it essentially sends the print job from the iPad directly to the PC, which spools it and sends it to the printer. Direct AirPrint printing is not available on this model, but is on some of the newer ones.

        X2
You're better off with the Ricoh app as it will work with most Ricoh mfp models on the same network as the tablet/smartphone with more functionality than airprint. Additionally, you can scan documents to your device. Airprint is only going to work on the newer generation Ricoh's (xxx2/xxx3) and whenever Apple updates the OS on the tablet/phone the user will have to wait until Ricoh produces new firmware for it to work again.

Printing? Not at all that I'm aware of.
Scanning? Yes. Lots of threads about that. I'd suggest scan to email and call it a day
