Here is a class provided by Ricoh. The CompTIA PDI+ might be a good alternative as well.

      Core Basics V4.0
      1st Floor | 5-Day | Instructor-Led Training Credits: 5
      Cost: N/A
Learning Path: | Service Professional || Senior Service Professional |
Course Category Service The product that will be featured in the Core Basics v4.0 course will be the D010 B&W MFP. The D010 offers two types of controller options (DDST and GW) in its series.
Recommended Prerequisites: While the Core Basics v4.0 Reference Manual has taken information from the Core Technology Manual, it has not taken everything; therefore, it is recommended that students review the Core Technology Manual to gain some core knowledge. Training Locations
Field School Ricoh University - West Ricoh University - East Ricoh University - South Duluth, GA Portland, OR Wilmington, DE Orlando, FL San Ramon, CA Windsor, CT Tustin, CA SPIRE
      Course Description:
The Core Basics v4.0 training program is geared to train service technicians in the true basics of Ricoh products. It will cover topics such as, Standard Components, Photocopy Process, and Handling Paper. It will also provide lab exercises in the D010 B&W MFP.

      Exit Skills:
      • Ability to service our Ricoh low level MFP machines
      • Troubleshooting skills to solve, or ward off potential problems

This is the mandatory Ricoh base line course. Unfortunately Ricoh's training doesn't include the troubleshooting that it did years ago. In fact some of the courses I've taken in recent years barely had any trouble shooting bugs even for practice.

We just sent a tech to the core basic course in Atlanta...and we are sending another, with little experiance, in August. If you need it, we have the core basics in hardcopy and probably can email you the file. PM back if you want it.
