    Re: Fax board problem

If it is a known working fax unit, then I would check the MBU Connection to the FCU. It can come loose quite easily, and the fax option won't be recognized. I had this happen just recently when I was swapping a fax unit on a machine.

FAX option for the MP 2550B and the MP 2851 are not the same. MP 2550B requires a Type 3350 D361. MP2851 uses a Type 3351 D510. The part number on the FCU might be the same, but the firmware loaded on the MBU is not.
