Their are 2 their. any Idea which one it may be if that is the problem... Was their for 3 hours today troubleshooting this. Pulling my hair out.... Thanks so much for any help.

You didn't say which paper tray or what the jam location number was. These are item that can help help you. Anyway, creasing usually is a scrap of paper along the edge of the paper path or the paper is coming out of the tray crooked.

Considering that you have spent 3 hours, I am sure that you removed the duplex unit, bypass tray, and end cover to check the paper path for scraps. While in there you should have cleaned any paper dust or toner.

Check the paper in the tray and look for any sheets with a corner folded under, especially the back lead edge. This can cause the paper to feed crooked. It can also cause the paper sensor to think the paper is at the correct position to be fed, but the feed roller will not quite be touching the paper. A warped paper pan can cause the same thing.

I'm not sure of the Jam number but the paper stops just before the reg rollers. The paper feeds up to their and doesn't feed through (when it does jam). It does it out of all the paper drawers. I did take off the duplex, bypass etc... Cleaned it up like crazy. It is very intermittint. It will feed Ok then the paper will feed into the exit tray creased with the print copied on the crease then sometimes jam...

If the image is on the outside of the crease and not under it then its before the reg roller prior to the image being transfered. I will guess two things first would be the front or rear registration bushing is busted try slipping paper through the reg roller you should not be able to slide it through the bushing like to break so there is no pressure on one side so the paper skews, you should notice this when one makes it out and the image is skewed.

Otherwise there is metal guide on a hinge you might have paper, label, or goo stuck on the entrance guide and its catching paper causing the dog ear, which will jam if it catches something on its way up. If the dog ear is folded in toward the image side then its stuck opposite of the door folding the paper towards the machine.

if all trays jam then its not a tray issue its in the registration area, check the pressure first if thats good start removing stuff till you find whats stuck in there.

Make sure the registration sensor is good. Clutches have been know to cause this as well, I would replace the registration clutch, if it is sticking it will cause this. If the reg clutch is bad, I tend to replace the paper feed clutches as well as they are usually not far behind.

Try a new transfer belt and blade. I had one causing odd jams When the drive was tight due to the blade binding. Had me going as well!

Registration sensor is dirty / bad. This machines are well known for toner spilling.

I am pretty much sure that the reg sensor is the problem... I got it running, so far so good... This machine has 800,000 copies on it so hopefully it is on it's way out... Thanks so much for your feedback
