    ricoh c4502 blank pages on scan to email.

    This seems to be happening on a regular basis to all the users.
    Somewhere in the back of my mind I remember this being a problem with a 22 cpm ricoh machine but I don't remember the solution. Is there a blank page detect on this model?

      I don't suppose it's something silly like scanning in duplex with some pages only being 1 sided?

      Has a tech been able to recreate the issue?

      I would check to make sure some weird scan setting isn't defaulted by mistake(although I don't know what would cause that)

      Is one of their pages going blank or is a blank page being added?

      I don't recall if that machine has blank page detection, but that type of detection would normally cause a blank page to not be scanned rather then inserting a blank page

      Let us know if you come across the answer.

          Color is not 4 times harder... it's 65,000 times harder. They call it "TECH MODE" for a reason. I have manual's and firmware for ya, course... you are going to have to earn it.

              Thanks for the ideas MNTECH. It is single page and ALL of the pages in the pack are blank.

                  The issue in the past happened to the Afico 2022 and 2027 copiers. The fix was to do an NVRam reset for the SCANNER feature only. But before you do record all the settings in File transfer and Scannner features, because these will be reset to factory and will need to be reprogramed.

                  I had not heard of this issue on any of the newer models. Also make sure you have updated all of the machines firmware.

                          Altho I didnt see anything unusual in the scan settings, I did a simple reset (UT> # + Scanner Features) and it now working OK.
