I have an MP4001 that won't recognize that it has an ADF. This occurred after the machine through a round of SC620's. After running through a slew of troubleshooting steps we found the ADF firmware was completely gone (no string). I am ordering the ADF , Scanner I/O, and BICU boards sinced all three communicate through each other. Anyone else ever see this?

Only seen it if the ADF interface harness is disconnected. maybe a ADF board would cause it too.sigpic

Yep.. don't waste your time on changing the ADF... just replace the BICU ...Comment

Had the same with an MP C2500 a few weeks ago. Lots of SC620 in the SC-history. Replaced BICU and the machine was working again.Comment
