C3500 SC 290

Ok, I have the machine in a million pieces as per the manual disassembly procedure to access the shutter motor. Now what do I do? I do not want to ever see this code again. What parts do I remove, and what do I leave? I would prefer an answer from someone that has actually done this before, because if I put this friggin thing back together and it doesn't work my head may explode

2914-007 Set Presence to NO.
Remove shutter. Leave brackets in opening position.
Reassemble and you're good to go.

I've done exactly what skynetto said and it works great. set the sp, slide the laser unit out and remove and discard the shitter.....

My manual only has 2914-001 through 004. Is it a SSP? I cant turn the machine on to check. No PS.

It's there. Only not included in the manual. The MP C2500 has it but it says NOT USED. Although it works fine.

Blimey I just whip out the laser unit, bin the shutter, and whack the laser back in.

Wish I woulda known that before I tore the machine all apart. It may never work again

Kept you occupied though! and you've explored a part of that machine you never will in the future. Life couldn't be better................
