I read through most of the threads about user account codes. Seems like there should be a simple way to set up accounts so the user could keep track of all the clients copies. For example: An architect design firm needs to keep track of copies for each client. he makes copies for client A and needs to be able to bill that client. He wants to set up a four digit number for that client so he can bill the client for copies made every month. There are about fifty of these clients. I have read and re read the manual and cannot figure it out. I can't figure it out on the screen either.

This is all included in the user manuals: http://support.ricoh.com/bb_v1oi/htm...p35/mp35en.htm
Download the General Settings Guide and see pages 82 for how to activate user codes and 217 on how to create them. (Page numbers in the manuals are always off, the numbers here are the one written on the pages, not what your PDF reader may tell you). -

I have a family law attorney who uses it to count copies and prints for active clients. You have to setup a user code for each client. The big problem is that you are limited to the number of user codes that you can set up.Comment

Re: Basic User counter code setup for Ricoh Aficio MP C4500
use the control panel only to activate de user code autenthication, and next for a faster job use the webpage monitor to program the user codes, instead using the address book in the mfp.
one thing i recommend is activating the administrator authentication, because altought most of the clients didn't know how, with a little curiosity you can discover the user codes accessing the system settings.. and soon start printing in other user account. just sayingComment
