    [Error Code] Ricoh MPC7501 SC364

Printer was working normally until a I completed a HDD format, this was done to remove Equitrack, since formatting the HDD, I get the message SC364 after printing 10 or more pages, this refers to the TD sensor in the black PCU. my question is after completing a HDD format do I need to do anything, or do I need to replace the PCU as stated in the service book or is it giving a spurious code since doing the HDD format.
    Regards Malcolm

You should be able to replace the density sensor. Check if there is a part number on the sensor itself and order that part. You will need the mounting tape for it also. I have done one on a C6501 and it worked. A lot less expensive than the development unit.

      Thanks SLIMSLOB

Would you happen to have the part number for the TD sensor, I cant find it listed in the parts catalogue.

      Regards Malcolm

It is not listed in the part catalog. You have to look on the sensor currently in the machine.

For future reference, Equitrac can be uninstalled via the 'Extended feature settings' in User tools.
