[Misc] mpc 5501 with sr 3020

Hi guys, I have an MP c5501 with SR 3020 booklet finisher. after only x2, 2 page booklets (a4 or a3) get message booklet tray full, after removing booklets, the message remains. I have changed the sensors, harness, control board, checked firmware, ensured all brackets are straight. I can get rid of the message if i reset m/c ....Any Ideas ??

If you have the tray booklet exit tray removed, it will do this. There are two sensors on the booklet stacker arm. One detects if the tray is full, the other detects if tray is installed. I have a customer who has used a piece of twine connect between the shift tray and the stacker arm adjusted to hold the stacker arm about 1/8 inch above the tray. I don't know if this will work for you but give it a try.

remove and clean or replace the booklet tray height sensors.

you can get to them by removing the back cover of the finisher and sliding out the stapler from the front door.
