I have not seen this before. When I put a little pressure on the exit rollers the squeak stops. I blew some wd40 up in there and it didn't really help at all. I'm not sure why or where the squeak is coming from. Anyone had this issue?

Re: 3228c Exit Roller Squeak
Sounds in general are a B with a ITCH to track most of the time. Keep in mind that this machine also uses rollers on the duplex unit as a possible paper exit, so the noise could come from anywhere!
Just had a look at the parts manual. That exit section is covered in shafts and bushings, so it would be a good idea to lube all of them (and the ones on the duplex side).
Good luck with the project.Press the GREEN button!! -
Re: 3228c Exit Roller Squeak
These are the exit rollers inside the cavity btw. The squeak must be coming from behind the air thingy in the back. So I went there again yesterday to take apart the back of the machine so I could get to the drive area of those gears but the squeak was completely gone! Yay. WD40 must have meandered its way to the back. I was quite liberal in my spraying technique on account of I couldn't find the little red wd40 nozzle/hose.Comment

Also, newer cans of WD40 come with the red straw permanently attached, a boon to look forward to when your current can runs out.Comment
