    MP2851 Fax module

Visited a customer today on a different matter but they say that all of a sudden they are not getting fax receipts on immediate or autodial faxes.
I see that in the WIM both reports are checked and in the parameters on the machine it show correct.
Comm report is SW3; Bit 0 to 1 and immediae is SW3, bit 5 to 1.

    What am I missing?

    I don't think you're missing anything
It sounds like just a software glitch.
In fact, it seems to me I had a similar issue myself with a an MP2510 a few years back, and solved it with a hard reset of the machine (Hold "." and "#" for 10 seconds or so until it reboots).

    Worth a try.

Do you have a quick operation key set for TX Status Report? If so, that will override all other settings. If unselected (not highlighted), it will prevent the report from generating.

Also make certain that the customer is not using the on hook dial button. When you use it you do not get a transmission report. Check SW 21 bit 0. If set to 0, the report will only print if there was an error occors.

Thanks Teebee, There is an icon button on the lower left that reads TX Report, they have been using that to get the report. Is that the Quick Operation Key?

They do both auto and immediate. immediate is SW3, bit 5 to 1. both are set to on. Not just on error.

You may have nailed it Teebee. Those are the quick operation keys. I have phoned her and asked her to look and see if the icon is TX file status or is it TX Status Report. If its the latter, that is the problem. I didn't look at it hard enough to remember which it is.
I'll post the answer. Thanks for the tip.

I hope it's that easy. I only remembered because this has happened to me in the past.
