    GRIFFIN fusergears

    Hi there!
4 machines in 2 weeks making noise like hell & crapy prints: the gears of the fuser (PN AB012072,AB012076,AB012077) are really crap! The ones on the pictures last 20K prints!!! The only "good" thing is, that they are easy to change.
    Have a nice weekend.
    Greetings...

    Re: GRIFFIN fusergears

Just had a call with this fault 5 minutes ago.

The bearing was grinding making a horrible noise and that gear had the beginning of a wear mark after 20K

Those pictures though, I have never seen a fuser that dirty. even when doing a rebuild on one that's done twice it's life.

Ive recently started putting a tiny bit of thermal grease on that gears teeth as an effort to reduce friction and stop them breaking.

I had a Savin MPC6055 fuser gears did the same thing a month ago, and made a hell of a mess. Hope to get more than 20k out of them, they were a butch to change.

            MPC 305.

Gears are garbage on this machine. If you have any number of them, keep them in inventory if you can. You will need them.
