Ricoh MP C6501 Pressure Roller parts

I've got a Ricoh MP C6501 that is giving an error code SC569. The manual points to replacing the pressure roller lift sensor, lift harness and lift motor. When I check the parts catalog none of these parts are even mentioned. I've searched online and I can't find any mention of these parts either. Is anyone familiar with these parts or does any one know if they go by another name?

Pull the drawer unit that has the fusing unit and the PTR unit and check if there is a small piece of paper stuck in the machine side of one of the connectors. That is what I had one time. Had to use my flashlight to see it. Fusing pressure release motor and sensor are mounted on the paper transfer drawer not the fusing unit (Items 174 and 173) on page 6 of the point-to-point. Going by the shape, the motor might be "Drive sub-unit: on-off: pressure roller" item 74 on the first sub page of the fusing section. The sensor might be the sensor item 69 on the same page. They are shown in the fuser section since they have to do with fusing but if I remember correctly, the motor is physically mounted in the drawer. You should see it at the front after you remove the fusing unit.

When you go to replace the pressure roller lift motor take a good look at the bracket where the lift motor is mounted. There is a series of brackets and an array of gears/small shafts that the motor drives to lift the pressure roller. I have had a few C6000 units where the gears/shafts get sloppy and begin to grind into the mounting plates. This will throw a SC-569 when the gear gets so tweaked into the plate. Inspect on both sides of the plates - you have to remove the motor mount plate to see the back side where the real problem is. I took care of a dozen C6000's a few years ago and I stocked a few of the Bracket:Motor:On-Off Press Fit plates and some extra gears and small shafts. I learned to put a shim between the gear and the plate and got a lot more milage - some never came back at all. Every time I would order the motor ahead of time..... but never needed. ( Still have a few motors and plates/gears - Both for the D014 and D081)

Thanks for the input. I was able to call in to Ricoh and get the right names and part numbers. I can't understand why the service manual recommends parts but the part catalog uses different terminology. Instead of a Pressure Lift Motor the catalog calls it a Drive Sub Unit On/Off Motor, instead of a pressure roller lift sensor it is just a standard photointerrupt Sensor, and instead of a lift harness it's called a Fusing pressure release harness. When my tech calls back in I'll run those ideas by him as well. It seems like this SC569 is a tricky error code.

Make sure that the replacement motor has an all black outer case...This is the updated, improved motor. The original ones are all white. Replaced many of these for the 569 code..
