Ricoh MP 171F print upgrade

Hi, I got a Ricoh MP 171F / Lanier LD 117F / Savin 917F / D068,

now I wanted to upgrade it to print.
I got a Printer/Scanner SD-Card for the 171 and plugged it in the slot 1,
but in the service menu it doesnt say Printer SP,
while it shows me Scanner SP and I cant connect to the network interface as long as the SD-Card is plugged in.

Is it possible it need a ram upgrade to get the printer working?
If so, what ram is it? Do I need original Ricoh ram, or is it just normal SD/DDR/DDR2 ram?
The service manual mentions a RAM DIMM, but doesnt say if its required.

There's a version of the 171 that doesn't have the full controller necessary for the Print/scan function to work. You may need to check and see if you need an add-on board for the base controller.

I could also be completely wrong and be thinking of the 161 or 1515.

If you do in fact have the D068 model you will NOT be able to print...It is only a Copy/Fax model for LAtin America. It is not upgradeable for anything. Sorry.

Okay, thank you for the answer.
Now I know at least that it wont work, no matter what I am trying.
Maby I will be able to get a MP 171 spf instead.
