Ricoh SR3140 Booklet Finisher for MP C3503 C4503 C5503

The sheets are not stapled correctly, are not aligned.
All amendments issued by Ricoh have already been applied without success.
Does anyone have more information about it ?

So are saying you updated firmware and did the adjustments in the bulletin ? That has fixed all of ours.

We applied all official modification bulletins and suggestion hw fw.
Poor results.
I think it is poor design...

New firmware for the finishers was released last Friday I believe.

The last fw applied is version 1.190:04 (file name D6865 301H)..

Was this ever resolved? The SR3150 is the Booklet Finisher for the C3003 - C6003 Product Line and not the SR3140. Our first install Sept/2013, the SR3150 had a booklet stapling problem and it took Ricoh 3 months to service exchange the Finisher. 8 1/2 X 11 booklets would fold and staple correctly but 8 1/2 X 14 and 11 X 17 booklets were both folded and stapled way off center. Because of the narrow "footprint" of this Finisher copies to be folded and stapled are stopped in the exit tray area and then held as a set to be stapled and then folded. On our install the letter paper worked correctly for booklet finishing but when it came to the other 2 paper sizes ONLY the first sheet was held in the exit area. When the subsequent sheets came throught the second sheet would get transported inside for stapling with the first sheet, and then all further sheets after making it to the exit area would reverse and go back inside the finisher; when it was time to staple and fold all the pages were completely misaligned. Firmware did not correct the problem nor did the replacement Finisher Control Board that Ricoh sent us. They finally sent us a replacement Finisher.

You know, I was going to say something about bad paper being the the source of the problems as it sounded like that was very much the case. (If the paper has too much curl when it exits the fuser, not even the best designed finisher can deal with that.)
Oh, well.
