dsc 338 wont print

Hi guys, this machine will reply to a ping, can be web browsed and also scan to the network, but wont print.

I have reset the ncs data and now it works question is.... what stopped it working in the first place?? as this was a bought in machine.

I know its solved but i wanted to know the root cause if anyone has a clue??
