Dear all,

Good Day, we having problem set up SMB Scanning for window 8 PC's for both MPC / MP 5000. Set up method as same as others OS. Test showed successful but actual sending fail. Any new firmware needed to upgrade for WIN8 SMB scan. Thank.

W8 does have quite a few extra and mandatory security parameters.


Is SSL running on the MFPs?


Check the log to see if the machine is making contact but being rejected at authentication.

Yes they will most likley need network firmware update for scanning to windows 8
