What does Communication error 200082 mean?

My customer gets it everytime she gets a fax from a special sender.

From the user manual:

2XXX32 to 2XXX84 An error occurred while receiving a fax.

• Confirm that the telephone line is properly connected to the machine.
• Disconnect the telephone line from the machine, and connect a standard telephone in its place. Confirm that you can make calls using the telephone. If you cannot make calls this way, contact your telephone company.
• If the problem persists, contact your sales or service representative.

Not very helpful, you may have to lower the communication speed or use an older protocol.

If the customer only gets it from a couple of senders and most receive without a problem, the problem is most likely with the sender's machine or phone line. One example that I can think of is a phone line that is a DSL and does not have the proper filter on the jack where the FAX is connected.
