    MP C2500 J018

    Hi,
    i am trying to locate in service manual which one sensor is the : Fuser entry sensor.
    Paper jams from all trays, and it stops at fuser entry guide, just before gripped from hot/press. rollers.
    It is not damaged or skewed. Fuser turns normally, hot/press. rolls are engaged.
    In diagnostic mode SP 5-803 064 for fuser entry sensor check, i have a reading of 00000001 and it doesn't change, noway.
    Is this sensor located above transfer roller? Can anyone help a little please??
    (P.S. Yes, i did a site search before posting....)

      You're correct as to the location. The best way to locate any electrical component is to use the "Electrical Component Layout" of the "Point to Point" manual or the part catalog. In the part catalog it is just listed as paper feed sensor but the bracket and cover in entrance sensor in their description.

          Well, this sensor is tested and it does not response at all. I put a piece of paper on it, side door closed, machine does not show "paper jam", even if sensor is totally disconnected.!!!
