[Jamming] Martini range, Jamming J071 on duplex only

I have 2 separate machines at the moment, a MP6001 and a MP8000, which are jamming J071 when duplexing.
They both print fine single sided but wont pass a copy/print duplex. The manual says J071 is the duplex transport sensor 2- but the same code occurs when a working duplex unit from another machine is used,

Does anyone know what else may be causing this please?

This might be stupid, but is the connector and its mounting on the machine for the duplex unit in good shape? How about the latch that holds the duplex unit in the machine? Sounds like it might be a weak connection.
This might even be more stupid, but have you actually turned the machines completely off and unplugged them? As long as the hard drives in the machines are in good shape, the print jobs that can't be printed now because of the jamming problem will still try to print out after the power is cycled back on. Shutting a machine completely off and unplugging it can take care of a number of weird problems as long as something isn't actually physically broken. And it should take less than a couple of minutes to do.

I have ran into problems from a small scrap of paper covering one contact in the machine side connector.
