    [Misc] Mp3053 ( Orval)

Hi this machine has a blank and un responsive ops panel. Only the blue power light comes on. The machine warms up I.e fuser gets hot and the scanner moves etc when lid lifted. machine will also turn over if doors opened and closed . Machine is brand new only installed a week ago. Unable to print either. Any ideas?

My first guess would be a blown fuse. See Blown Fuse Conditions in the service manual. If you do not have a service manual, download one from My Ricoh. If you do not have access to My Ricoh, you can purchase a manual download from JustManuals.com.

      HI

I would suggest that you check the display with a torch to see if the infamous SC202 is not displayed.

Do a search for "sc202" as there are quite a few threads on possible other sollutions (including the psu) albeit for other models, but I have a feeling that the cause is the same.

      Good luck!

Saw the same on an MP C2500. Disconnected the Polygon Mirror Motor and the panel lights up displaying SC202. Replacing the polygon Mirror Motor solved it.

Hi Thanks for suggestions guys. Fault ended up being the ops panel.
