[Error Code] pro 5100s - reset PM problem?

    Morning all,

Machine is asking for drum cleaning unit.

I've reset the PM counter (using tech bulletin with side door open etc).

But the message won't clear. Ricoh tech said update fw, but it's on latest version.

Though I would ask on here before I went back to them.

    Thanks.

No they're on back order. That shouldn't stop me reseting the PM counter though.

Can you tell us the exact steps you took to reset the counter? Also what bulletin are you referring to? I have done a quick search and can not find any bulletins listed for reset counters. Try to give us as much details as possibles with your initial post on a problem. It saves a lot of questioning later.

            Bulletin number is RD137031a

Followed this exactly. I have two machine that are asking for these cleaning units, even though PM counter is zero.

            Thank you.

Ignore me, 1st call I've had on these since the training course (many months ago).

Forgot the lube bar had it's own sensor. Managed to trick them until parts arrive.

              Thanks for your help.

I don't know about the 5100s as I haven't been trained yet , but on the 8100s you have to go to sp 7622 and clear the specific counters. Try that and see if it works.

I don't know if it would override the lube bar sensor, but I will sometimes turn off the "Part Replacement Alert Display) SP 5062 associated with the PM item being displayed until I can get in the parts. I don't have any C5100 but I have one customer with four PM C6502 version. No fiery.

As mentioned about, the lube bar does have a end detection sensor on them

To reset the PM counters and initialise the device correctly, reset all codes using SP3-701-xxx

Bloody japs love wrecking our lives with different SP codes
