Sorry if I was confusing, but I changed the clutch / drive ass. first and that didn't work. The toner hopper was completely empty when I first started this problem. It stayed empty through most of this problem.

repeated times for toner recovery
hey everyone,
I had this problem a bunch on a 1055 which is a newer 551. Ricoh has a bulletin that says to shake the toner bottle before installing. The toner packs in the bottom of the bottle and the machine has a hard time getting it out fast enough to satisfy the toner hopper. I too have replaced the toner bottle holder and the toner clutch to fix the problem. The bulletin explains it better but I am still skeptable on the toner shaking.
