Check the development unit does have toner in toner supply unit.If doesin't have toner check does toner pump work, or does push
    toner in toner supply.

      Hi
The way it controls the density, this machine uses Id and td sensor control, together with process control.
I would force tone the machine until the image is correct density, then run process control and check results, check the vsg and vsp reading, and the td sensor readings if they look OK, then run 100 print or more and check the reading's, are the sensor readings telling you that toner has depleted from the developer unit? As the last post says, it probably is the pump not getting enough toner into the Dev unit , it is located.... looking at the front, inside, top right corner.

First set ID patch to be printed during a long print run. Set for every 50 pages to start. Next try either raising or lowering the developer ID sensor voltage. I can't which direction, but one will cause the image to get darker and the other to get lighter. With the more frequent ID patches, the ID sensor reading will control toner density a little tighter. Lower the frequency of the ID sensor patch if the density seems to vary up and down.

I have had the Temp/humidity sensor fail. it gave the same effect.

What's the usage on those machines?
I don't know about this model (sorry) but on older high speed B/W machines if they weren't used enough, the toner supply mechanism wouldn't be on long enough to replenish toner properly.
Something to check if time permits. The product support guide might help with that.

                Hi Cristian.
Just for future ref, this model of machine can have problems if toner coverage on the paper is less than 5%.
There is a revised list of sp settings to get around this that the tech specs use if this is likely to be an issue. it can be obtained from ricoh level 2.
                Cheers.

                    Ricoh tech support level 2.
I can post the settings tomorrow night. Again though, you only use them if toner coverage is below 5%.
