    mpc 6000 sc 530

Hey guys. Working on a mpc 6000. Got a sc530 code. Replaced the fuser cooling motor. No change. Any advice for me? I am a Konica gal by trade. and I need some help here! Thanks

    Re: mpc 6000 sc 530

Did you replace the front fusing cooling fan or the rear? Since SC 531 is the error code for the front fan, SC 530 is probably the rear fan. Also check the wiring harness for damage and check for air flow blockage. Dirty filters can some times cause SC 530 and 531. Goose's Guide has a number of additional items to check. If you don't have a copy of Goose's Guide, there are a couple of thread that have a download. Do either a Google search or a forum search. You can also email Paul@JustManuals.com.

Thanks. Good info here. I think I replaced the wrong fan.

        RESET

just replaced the rear cooling fan. still no luck. am I missing something about clearing the code? I went into sp mode then turned off the main switch. isn't that all there is to it on these machines? I also looked in the sp mode for a sc reset, but I don't see anything. Think i'm still stuck on the Konica guidelines and i'm missing something. I feel really stupid. I guess if all brands and models were alike we would eventually all be out of jobs.

SC530 is a type B error code, it only needs the machine restarted and the problem fixed to clear. Make sure you are replacing the correct fan.

SC530 - Fusing cooling fan error
The VBCU did not receive the lock signal 5 seconds after the fusing unit fan switches on.
          • Fan harness disconnected or damaged
          • Fan blocked by an obstruction
          • Fan damaged
