    ricoh 3045 jams 14,17 and 66

ive been having this problem for some time now. sometimes its alright and sometimes its a nightmare.

    the following jam codes are
    14-fusing exit sensor
    17-relay sensor 1
    16-exit sensor
    66- exit sensor off

the most jams are coming from 17

this machine has a bridge unit and a sr790 fninsher.

fuser has been refurbished. paper stops when it goes past the fuser in the interchange unit.

the 3 "sticky" pads in the interchange unit been removed and ive also change the whole interchange unit. fusing exit sensor and exit sensor on the interchange have been replaced with new.

i hardly get this problem on the other 3045 we have out there eventhough i like these more than the mp4000/5000 anyday.

    any suggestions??

    firmware is up to date.

look under the jam locations do you have any jams at the 0 location (door open) if so the door switches in the bridge unit are corroded inside them from arcing change the switches and add some velco to the spots that engage them to help

Yes there are but only 7 jams at 0 location which is not high at all

Replace the fusing exit sensor. Heat from the fusing unit tend to make these fail as the machine gets older.
