One of my fellow workmates came to me with an issue on a Ricoh 201 that isn't connecting to the network. He has a light indicating a connection but cant get the Web Image Monitor to come up from anywhere on the network. I had him connect directly to the machine with a crossover cable and he still wasn't able to get a connection. The problem that I'm having is that we don't have the documentation on that model and I'm pretty sure we need to quote the customer a price on a new network controller. Would anyone out there be willing to look the number up for me or link me to some documentation? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Aficio Aficio MP 201SPF No network Connection
A few questions:
Is it just the Web Interface that's not working, or can the machine not print as well?
Have you confirmed the security level isn't set to high, which would disable the web server?
Are there user codes on the print function?
Does a config page show the NIC as installed?
Is SP 5-895-001 set to '1', which activates the NIC?
Was the machine working before? Firmware up to date? -

Also, go into interface setting in user tools and see if "IEEE802 authentication for ethernet is active". If it is, switch it off then put on the largest pair of steel toe cap boots on you can find. Then, repeatedly kick the customer in the balls/flange until it bleeds. I f*cking hate customers who find this setting amd enable it thinking it will make the machine work on a wireless network. It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.
