You can get an SD card from any photo or computer store. Then use windows Explorer to move the firmware files onto the card into a folder named romdata.
Firmware files can be downloaded from the ricoh site.

It looks like you need a ricoh login to get access to the firmware files, and i don't have a login. if you or someone could download the files and rapidshare it that would be great, just pm me the link.

i was told by several tech support contacts that i use, to clear the ram and update the firmware. the machine as been having some very odd issues. it wont do a color registration, it jams very inconsistantly, it doesnt like special paper anymore- which the customer has run for years, and the fax has been acting up. with all this combined with the fact that the machine is pushing 500k, both of my sources recommended a firmware update.

Never do a ram clear on this machine, try taking apart the image transfer belt unit and give it a very good clean up, thats what giving you all those strange jams and registation erros, then if needed update firmware, firmware are for specified issues, not for jam resolutions. please dont do memory clear, only if your NVram is defective. if so first backup your data to a SDcard and then reset it.

I think he means, he needs a Ricoh login in order to first get the firmware and then he would Rapidshare it to him.
