Ricoh mp 2851 sd card not set properly

I think copier might had a postscript card install but remove when we bought it. Front door show label for it. Is there away to tell copier to clear message or do i have to get a card.

thanks for any help in this matter.

Chances are there was a lot more then just postscript on that sd card, as print options, etc. are merged onto an sd card.

The 2851 has imbedded Printer/Scanner, i.e. no SD card for those functions. Options requiring SD card would be Data Overwrite Security Unit Type I, HDD Encryption Option, PostScript3 Unit Type 3350, and VM Card Type F. PostScript and VM are the only ones that come with a Decal. If the VM card has been removed without properly stopping the VM function, the controller board might be damaged.

My experience is that removing the PS card uninstalls the option.
