    Mpc300 colours out of registration

    I tried forced line registration mode c the a. And threw an error code of sc396.
    K drum motor lock. Drum is ok and turns fine.
    The density of the colours are almost perfect

    whats the most likely problem?

      If the drum is running fine, than maybe the motor is the cause. BTW, the machine decides if the drum is running fine, not you. You may think it's running ok, but the machine may have other thoughts...

          I have had a black motor fail on one of these.
          It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.
