    email SSL older Ricohs

    I have heard that with firmware upgrades the older Ricohs (ie. MP C2500/C3500's) Can work with emaill SSL is this correct and if so TSL too?

      I do not think so. It has to do with the capability of the main processor and support chips.

          Slimslob is right.

          There is no machine update to make SSL work.

                      Sounds very familiar! According to the IT guys firmware solves everything... But unfortunately there are no Service Packs for MFP's!

                          We have Stunnel up and running at various client sites. There is a learning curve to getting a reliable setup but it's a magic bullet when it works.

                              I have had Stunnel recommended as a solution in the past by tech support, but this is the first time I have a post from some one who has actually used it. Thank you.
