Hi all,
shouldn't hold you up too much.
I have a copier installed at a cement mixing plant and one of our techs keeps getting called out for void lines. This is because TONS of dirt keeps getting inside the laser unit.
So the usual tech is on holiday and I've gone out to this job today for a full PM and service.
I noticed that when I cracked open the laser unit there is no filter/seal (sponge) lining the joint of the lid. I'm pretty sure that if I fit this seal it will reduce the amount of call-outs for void lines.
HOWEVER> I can not find the part number for said seal in the Ricoh Manuals and I just opened up the laser unit on one of our scrap machines and it doesn't have it fitted either.
Is this seal meant to be fitted? If so can someone supply me with the part number?
If not can someone suggest what to use to seal the laser unit from excessive dust?
