The original is 128MB. I tried the 4GB SD Card don't seem to work.

The technology seem to be moving very fast.

Posting of firmware could be a violation of general 5 of the Forum Rules. Don't be surprised if an Administrator, Moderator or Donor/Contributor drops a red card on you. You are new to the forum. Pick up too many red cards and no Rep Power and the older experienced techs might not be interested in helping you with a problem.

sorry I don't understand Korean. My PC translated as:-

' Ricoh m p c 3000 you can scan your pc for Windows 8, mpc2500, mpc3000, mpc3500, you can scan from Windows 8 mpc4500. A couple of months ago and should not have an iron to get the boss firmware SEO during the multiple paths available through the. But I have to get a different person who does not believe the data in relation to the light. '

The error pops out after completed scanning.

              Is it firmware issue?

The MPC3000 is too old to scan to windows 8. Ricoh never released and firmware for the problem

If the customer will let you, one can disable smb2/3.

Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012

Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 introduce the new Set-SMBServerConfiguration Windows PowerShell cmdlet. The cmdlet enables you to enable or disable the SMBv1, SMBv2, and SMBv3 protocols on the server component.

Notes When you enable or disable SMBv2 in Windows 8 or in Windows Server 2012, SMBv3 is also enabled or disabled. This behavior occurs because these protocols share the same stack.

You do not have to restart the computer after you run the Set-SMBServerConfiguration cmdlet.
                • To obtain the current state of the SMB server protocol configuration, run the following cmdlet:Get-SmbServerConfiguration | Select EnableSMB1Protocol, EnableSMB2Protocol

                • To disable SMBv1 on the SMB server, run the following cmdlet:Set-SmbServerConfiguration -EnableSMB1Protocol $false

                • To disable SMBv2 and SMBv3 on the SMB server, run the following cmdlet:Set-SmbServerConfiguration -EnableSMB2Protocol $false

                • To enable SMBv1 on the SMB server, run the following cmdlet:Set-SmbServerConfiguration -EnableSMB1Protocol $true

                • To enable SMBv2 and SMBv3 on the SMB server, run the following cmdlet:Set-SmbServerConfiguration -EnableSMB2Protocol $true

"Custom Network firmware" was created for many of the older boxes. (Foolishly posted on the previous page of this thread)

Whatever machine mode it is, They all work Very Very well with Windows 7, why not windows 8?
Current situation is most of customers who is still using windows XP or 7, a few of them is using windows 8. If firmware modified to adopt for win8 users, how about older version users since SMB is not compatible backward. How confused it is.

                      Don't over complicate this.
Firmware update is required to work with the new SMB protocol used in windows 8. All machines will continue to work with previous versions of windows after the update

Have you read the following article posted by Microsoft?
                        http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2896636

                        http://support/microsoft.com/kb/2887595

I did installed the patch KB2896636, it seems don't work either.

Ricoh Germany: there will be no Firmwareupdates for MPC2500/3000.
Now we use Filezilla FTP-Server on Server 2012 and it is working fine.
