May I know up to what size of SD Card can the Ricoh MP C3000 read? I can only find the smallest here is 4GB.

The original is 128MB. I tried the 4GB SD Card don't seem to work.

The technology seem to be moving very fast.

Posting of firmware could be a violation of general 5 of the Forum Rules. Don't be surprised if an Administrator, Moderator or Donor/Contributor drops a red card on you. You are new to the forum. mpc2500,mpc3000,mpc3500,mpc4500 윈도우8에서 스캔할수 있습니다.
두달전 한철안 사장이 펌웨어를 구해 달라고 해서 구하던 중에 여러 경로를 통해서 구할수 있었습니다.
하지만 구해 달라던 사람이 내가 가진 데이타를 믿지 않는 관계로 빛을 보지 못하고 있습니다.

Hi Newbie here,

My customer upgraded some of their PC's to windows 8 and now cannot do scanning from Ricoh MPC3000 to PC. However, scanned to Windows 7 Pc's are fine.

The error pops out after completed scanning.

Is it firmware issue?

The MPC3000 is too old to scan to windows 8. Ricoh never released and firmware for the problem

If the customer will let you, one can disable smb2/3.

Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012

The MPC3000 is too old to scan to windows 8. Ricoh never released and firmware for the problem

"Custom Network firmware" was created for many of the older boxes. (Foolishly posted on the previous page of this thread)

Whatever machine mode it is, They all work Very Very well with Windows 7, why not windows 8?
Current situation is most of customers who is still using windows XP or 7, a few of them is using windows 8. If firmware modified to adopt for win8 users, how about older version users since SMB is not compatible backward. How confused it is.

Don't over complicate this.
Firmware update is required to work with the new SMB protocol used in windows 8. All machines will continue to work with previous versions of windows after the update

Ricoh Germany: there will be no Firmwareupdates for MPC2500/3000.
Now we use Filezilla FTP-Server on Server 2012 and it is working fine.
