    Fuser Error Codes (SC541 & 546)

I go out and service this Ricoh Aficio 2035 every six weeks, and after the copier is turned off and then turned back on, one of these codes appears on the display screen. I have changed the thermistors multiple times for this issue, but still the problem persists. I am wondering if the problem could be related to the power source circuit board? Any help is most appreciated. Thank you.

power source is one factor. have you tried changing thermistors and thermostats at one time?

SC 546 is fusing temperature unstable. Frequently caused by dirty electrical connections to the thermistors. Watch the temperature readings in SP 1106. If one of them jumps up or down suddenly, you have a bad connection. If you have another machine available, try swapping fusing units. If the problem stays with the fusing unit, replace the wiring harness on the fusing unit. If the problem stays with the machine, replace the wiring harness on the machine.

I bet the fuser is not screwed into the frame,

when reinstalling the fuser, screw it into the frame and will eliminate both codes, common problem
