You do not need Scanrouter for this. You can do scan to email by going into the web-interface of the copier and setting it up from there-using the IP address of the copier and putting it into the address bar of IE or Firefox, etc.
More-than-likely you will need to setup smtp authentication, and have a user/pw for the authentication through the isp mail server. It's easier to do it if you have a local exchange server, or other mail server.
You'll need to point it to some sort of SMTP server, whether it is @ the isp or in-house.
Usually, the easiest way to do this is to see what settings they have now, depending on what type of mail client they are using.
I have not set one up in a while, so it may be a bit difficult for me to give you an exact walk-through.
