Ricoh 2550 Fax busy signal

When plugged into the faxn an incoming calller will hear a busy signal. When the fax is unplugged the incoming call will hear ringing.

I can't remember the last time I had an actual problem with a fax board in a these machines.

Could a relay be bad?

Never mind. lol. They had a line coming from the copier to the back of a computer. The computer had the line open. I was told when I walked in the computer had just started rebooting itself over and over.

After unplugging the computer the line was fine.
