    MP C7501 interface information/Access Control

Hi Guys, help needed, does anyone know how to remove access control range1, previous customer restricted the IP addresses that could use the printer to prevent users using there own laptops on the network, I have a range of 010.011.000.001 to 010.011.000.255, I cannot find any info on how to remove this, I have checked in access control in the SP mode but can't find the right area. from a very frustrated engineer, regards Malcolm

bridgeoverriver, you should be able to get to access control through the web page of the machine. Log in as the admin, if the customer hasn't hosed that. then go to configuration and look under security for access control and clear the settings.

If for some reason you are unable to get into the web interface, you can program access control through a telnet session from a PC. The command after you login is "access". The command "access" shows you current ranges. To program, "help access" shows you the syntax for various commands.

I know the "access flush" command works like a charm, as long as you save your configuration when you "log out" of the telnet session.

It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

        Hit it.
