    MP3351 loud squeak

3351 squeaks whenever main motor is running.
have eliminated pcu, fuser, all clutches and exit rollers.
Has anyone seen main motor cause this?

Does the squeak come from a specific area of the machine? If so, where is that?
Sorry, I can't see or hear your machine, so I had to ask.

I know what you mean, best I can tell it is in the area of the main motor.
Like I said I did switch out or disconnect as many things as I could and still keep it running but it was none of the usual suspects.
Originally I would have thought rear of the pcu but I did swap it out and noise remained.
Also it does continue the entire time it is running, it does not let up or change when any of the clutches engage, and the copies and prints come out perfect.

Ive had something similar on a MP3350...when looking at the machine from the back with the cover off, there is an idle gear where a pulley runs over it in the lower left corner - near where the PCU flywheel is. It was a while ago but I think it was tensioning the pulley?

Turn the motors on in output mode with the back off and you should see / hear what I mean.

Thanks Smee, I was running it in output mode with the flywheel removed but I couldn't pinpoint it. I will look for an idle gear in that area when I go back.
