Lanier LP231 with blank prints

Good Morning
A maintennace message came up to replace the lack drum on this unit which we did. After replacing the drum the printer was printing out blank pages. We put the old drum back in and the printer displayed an sc364. We then put in a second new black drum, the codes disappeared but the machine continues to print blank pages. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to correct this?

Sounds like you have a damaged or broken connection between the PCU and mahcine

You should be able to run a color test page in User Tools. Are all the colors there except for Black? This will narrow down your area of troubleshooting considerably. Also, once this machine calibrates the new PCU you cannot stick the old PCU back in otherwise it will show the SC364 (because the voltages between the old and new PCU are very different).

I am getting my butt whipped by this printer. It does not print any black. It prints a beautiful color page but I cannot get any black to come out even with replacing with a new black drum and tranfer belt. I also changed the magnetic spring clutch (GX20-0012) and still no luck. I am lost please help!!!

Turn off machine,put new drum in,the machine should take a while to go through a process to get the drum ready approx. 10 minutes then it shouldprint...................

Sounds like P2P time. Would say your LD shutter is stuck, but you can print in color. From the display check what Vt is for black.

Just curious, is the new drum OEM? It could be you got a bum unit.
That being said, you might want to check if the new drum is actually rotating. And also that the shipping seals have been fully removed as that is a PCU rather than just a drum.
