    D136 tandem tray issues

Anyone having issues with the tandem tray on the c6502/c8002/pro 5100 machines, shifting paper left to right or lifting the stack???? Had 1 today wear the drive coupler for the shift fence had NO spring tension to engage drive. i stretched the spring for more tension to get it working. There are a few bullitens for this tray, as it seems to be somewhat problematic....................................... .....

I haven't had that problem, but have had some issues.

The right end of cover over the tandem fence belt came unhooked from the bottom plate and slightly lifted the right tandem tray causing a lower limit sensor error. With the sensors mounted on the frame and not the tray, the slightest thing can knock the alignment off. I have had one other problem from sensor misalignment, the flag on the end fence on the right tandem tray, the one that a solenoid used to pull open for the paper to push past, was not always entering the sensor. Had to use a piece of adhesive label to make it slight longer.

Yeah I think that's what TSB 44 or 102 reissue is for . The early S/N units need a $24 spacer ( 1 cm square 1 mm thick) installed even though there's a Mylar spacer installed on the sensor bracket!! What I found today was unexpected though..................They have also changed the lift motor assy, because of coupler issues. Had a rep tell me today that it won't move 2 reams of paper and the fix is to add the side LCT, I asked him if he would give the customer 1..........got LOL from him.....................my unit moved 2 reams just fine with some adjustment............
