    almost blank prints

In ricoh MPC4500, all prints are almost blank and only in rear side of the paper around 10mm image appears at normal clarity. Image in the drum also the same. Pbm could from laser unit; some mechanical alignment pbm and I tried following.
    1.Upgraded all firmwares.
2.Removed the metal shutter of laser unit.
3.Changed the position of laser unit little away from its original position.
But no result. Any suggestions? Please!

Not sure, but I'd be checking the Drums and Image Transfer Belt and see if they're in correctly/working properly/not broken

I've had the Image Transfer belt rip on one of these before, wasn't as bad as what you have but could always be a factor.

Is this happening on all colours or black only?

Ok, I forgot to ask as well, does this happen on print outs or just copying "Print a counter sheet/SC test chart and check".

check the laser shutter as on the 2500 range this problem was known with early firmware
Networking skills are advantageous but use of a 3m vacuum cleaner is essential

I swapped laser unit also and its not defective, I think this can be drum grounding pbm or bias pbm. I removed laser unit shutter also.

Yeah that's a possibility. You could also check the Charge Rollers on each PCU, I think you can access them quite easily, give them a clean with a damp cloth or something, see if that atleast changes the fault.

                  hai friends,
thanks for your suggestions and at last the pbm was due to the charge leak in drum unit and I replaced the PCUs and the issue got solved. Strange cause this is!

I am far from having the best grammar and that is mostly due to the fact that English was not my native language but im with Jomama on this one. Why cant people just use the proper word and save everybody guessing. Has society just degraded to the point and started accepting illiteracy as normal???
