    Ricoh MPC2800

    Hi,

got a returning quality problem on an MPC2800,
Every time when customer changed toner or cleared a misfeed, the first copy or print
made is a bad one, see for the example.

checked different parts, noticed to much toner on top of the developer unit . . cleaned it,
    changed the PCU Bk.
It comes back after as period.

    someone?
    Thanks in advanceIMG_3619.JPG

Check your counters in the smc report. Check the BK Dev unit counter and the ITB unit etc. Check the PTR unit isnt beyond life. Make sure optics clean as the mc scans the white ref plate and sets up things around this also. Make sure you have performed ACC all modes in user tools also. Just a few things, BTW, if the PTR unit has bent seperation pins on the static strip can cause this, but that would tend to be across the copy.

From your description of when the problem happens, my guess is that closing the door is shaking toner loose from somewhere which is in turn getting on the ITB. If the ITB is not close to needing replacement, at least remove it and clean any toner build up. Replace or rebuild the ITB cleaning unit as it is obviously not completely cleaning the belt on the first pass. Hope this helps.

Changed the ITB, also without results,
got a tip that maybe the toner clutch is slipping?

        someone ?
Would that be partnm B2233455 ?

Where the paper transfer roller is there is a metal serrated static strip sometimes the pins bend up and cause weird print quality issues
