I would reset the copier back to factory default 1st before you order any boards

After making sure you have all of the network settings at hand, and the address book backed up (if applicable).

Try running about 100 test prints using the "Checker Flag" test pattern. If the image density decreases during the test run, you most likely have a partially clogged toner supply system. If image density increases, you have a bad development unit, TD sensor bad.

Performing a RAM clear is not the way to troubleshoot an "Add Toner" condition.

These machine will display an almost empty when it gets low.
Don't replace it until it says to replace it.
This gives the customer time to order one before it dies.

If it bothers you change sp code 3045 to a 0.

Never reset a machine to factory, there is no reason for it.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

You can perform an engine reset but not without doing a NV-Ram backup before^^

Back then we had several MPC6000 with bad toner end/replace toner messages after installing new OEM toner. No chance to get rid of the message unless you try another, new toner or actally did an engine reset and restore the NV-Ram backup you hopefully didn't forgot. Not shure why the error didn't re-occure after data restore but the result is what count's.

False near-end conditions doesn't justify these actions. Just ignore them until the machine detects toner end - in this case the bottle should be empty of course.
