Ricoh MPC5501 " waiting for print data"

Customer is trying to print from Printshop 22 and it is taking forever to print. (5 to 10min) Upgraded software and even tried new printer board with same result. I'm not much of an IT person so any help would be appreciated!

Could do with a bit more info ? How big is the file they are tying to print, are they printing direct or through a server, what print driver are they using, what is it like printing from other application.

3MB is the size of the file. Printing from MS Word is right a way. PCL6 driver not windows driver. Using server. Should I try a USB cord to see if there is a difference?

Have you tried printing direct rather than through the server ? Can you also check what "Ethernet Speed" is set to in [System Settings] then [Interface Settings]

Ok, brought in MPC5000 under same conditions and works perfectly. Checked internet speed on MPC5501 and was set to 100bpms full duplex. The 5000 is set to auto select...just sayin. Thanks
