I been working on savins for over 10 years dating back from 1994 but I never worked on a color copier also does anyone know where to find a service manual for this copier?

SC820 is a controller code. First thing to do would be to try a firmware update, but if you don't have access to a manual then I'd guess you don't have access to firmware...

You say that you have been working on Savin for ten years. If you are an tech with an authorized RFG dealer, you can download it from either TSRC or rfg-esource. Otherwise, until you have proven that you are an experienced tech willing to help others here on CTN, don't expect any of us to just give you service manuals on your first post.

Thank you for your response and the help and as slimslob pointed our about my ten years experience I stand corrected and apologize. My first Savin copier I worked on was a Savin 5015re back in 1989. I began working for Savin corporation in 1991 and continued on until 1999. I was certified on many types of savin B/W copiers including Savin liquid copier 9350 where you had to remove the tank, drain it clean the blades and the tank. I was also trained on the Savin 7035 copier that used a percentage of its toner waste to recycle back into it's hopper. I was also was one of the first technician to be trained on Savin digital copiers when they came out in the late 90's. I then resign and began to work for one of their competitor and now I started my own company. To make a long story short I been doing this long before you even picked up your daddy screwdriver and to this day I can break any copier down to its frame and repair any gear, bushing, clutch, roller, whatever. So to the self appointed copier god I asked for help I don't need especially you to give me anything and a word to the wise may you should think before you speak.....

You were probably still pooping your diapers when I started in the copy repair industry. You mentioned the Savin 9350. I designed external paper supplies and coin operation options for the Savin 770. They used to make a small desk top model that techs called the baby coffin. Before you call any one on this site a self appointed copier gods, take a look at their profile and see how long they have been around. There are a lot us who are in our 50's to 70's. The point that I was making on my previous post is that you have to earn some respect by what help you give to others before you can expect us to send you service manuals and/or firmware. If you want service manuals, there is a forum for that. With JustManuals no longer in operation, you can always do an internet search to find somewhere that sell manuals you need.

Oh the good old days. Back when you flipped an orange paddle up or down to select the feed tray. When you tied a knot in a string to lighten or darken the copies. The Savin 840. Full to the top of liquid toner and a moving top. How many times did I see someone copy with the lid up only to have the platen cover catch a thermostat on the wall and send the copier rolling?

I remember a call at a chiropractor's office that had a Savin 750. The tank needed cleaned as the liquid toner contained a coagulant to help it dry and would "chunk up" causing copy issues. When I told him how much it cost to "clean the tank", he proceeded to tell me that "how dare I with my limited education expect to charge him with his superior knowledge level, that much money to clean something. I never heard from him again but did hear that he took his copier to the car wash and proceeded to ruin it.. Karma is a wonderful thing!

With all due respect, while it is proper to be proud of the business you built with your own hard work, it is rather silly to let the spoon fly off this hand grenade when people are just offering you free advice during their free time.
For what it is worth, I started working on 3M copiers, fax and microfilm equipment in 1985. No liquid developer there - except for the microfilm equipment (it took many beers to erase the flavor of that stuff from my memory).
