Help having major problems with Ricoh MPC5501 showing sc582 then sc548 which blows the IH coil unit, any ideas?

What have you tried so far ? I would say replace IH Inverter board if you haven't already

Not sure about this model, but on the B222 series, the sirroco cooling fan blades would desintigrate and would eventually lead to a blown IH coil, which is a real pain to replace.

Sorry for digging up this old thread, but this post spiked my curiosity:

I've got a MPC5000 with SC582 - we already replaced the fuser, the coil, the inverter, the iob and the bicu. After a couple of weeks the error is back.
I'm looking for unusual causes, and I'm wondering if this fan could be it.

Could you please give some more information on this? Thanks.
