    Ricoh Aficio 2035

    This Ricoh Aficio 2035 I worked on is giving me an SC-391 error code. I have replaced the TD sensor and the IOB PCB, but I still have the problem. What could else could be causing this? Thank you for any help given.

      SC391 only appear when you did automatic adjustment of the TD sensor (sp 2801)
      Why did you perform that spmode? did you replace new developer? Was the Toner supply function normaly?

        Geez, you have a really old fleet where you work, that 2045 should have been in the tip along side that AF 450 years ago.

        How old is the drum? They have a life of 150k and and you can get some strange problems when the ID reading isn't what the copier is expecting to go with the TD reading. If the ID patch is low density due to worn out drum it shovels more toner into the dev trying to raise the level and after a while the TD sensor starts screaming that the dev is way over toned.

        Bitter experience has told us that this model has to be PM'd with a full kit every 150K. The dev should go 300k but we wouldn't take the risk so changed it along with the drum at 150K.
        At least 50% of IT is a solution looking for a problem.

          (Sc 391) is TD sensor error: auto adjust error during automatic adjustment of the TD

          sensor, output voltage is less than 1.8V or more than 4.8V during its initial setting.

          Possible Cause
          * TD sensor abnormal
          * TD sensor disconnected
          * Poor TD sensor connection
          * I/O board (IOB) defective
          * Toner supply defective
          also make sure the drawer in which TD sensor will be inserted is not dirty or defective
